Senior Manager, SEO Strategy

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Independently create project plans & roadmaps for all clients, including projections and impact potential for initiatives.
• Develop and maintain reporting for all clients on core SEO KPIs such as traffic, conversions, organic impressions, CTR, and rankings.
• Identify, diagnose, and create plans to address crawl errors, URL treatment & duplication issues, crawler accessibility, readability concerns, and site speed problems on clients' websites.
• Diagnose keyword targeting issues and develop new keyword strategies to optimize metadata, on-page content, and structured data.
• Develop core deliverables including reporting, strategy assessment, auditing, keyword research and mapping, and content optimization projects.
• Facilitate and run client calls and meetings, acting as a face of DEPT, and provide follow-up on SEO recommendations.
• Manage and analyze ongoing reporting to identify optimization opportunities for clients.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of SEO-specific experience, including presenting findings and making recommendations for account optimizations.
• At least 2 years of experience managing SEO strategy independently, either in-house or at an agency.
• In-depth understanding of how search engines work, SEO optimization techniques, and recent industry changes.
• Familiarity with emerging AI search engines and leveraging AI tools for automation.
• Strong time and project management skills with high attention to detail.
• Expertise in diagnosing and resolving technical site issues such as crawl errors, redirection, duplication, and site speed.
• Experience with keyword research, strategy assessments, and competitive analyses.
• Proficiency with SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Cloud Crawling tools, BrightEdge, Searchmetrics, Semrush, and AHREFs.
• Strong experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Javascript development and constraints.

Nice to Have

• Experience with emerging AI search engines and automation tools.
• High tolerance for change and managing accounts with various goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in SEO (minimum 4 years).
• Experience managing SEO strategies independently for at least 2 years.
