About the Role

The Senior Marketing Specialist - Email Developer role is responsible for developing and executing marketing email outreach for Ally Financial across multiple lines of business. The position involves working as part of the Product and Lifecycle Marketing team to ensure emails are built and delivered accurately, adhering to brand and accessibility standards, and following current email best practices. The role offers a hybrid work schedule based in Charlotte, NC, or Detroit, MI, and emphasizes collaboration with business partners to produce high-quality email campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and launch complex and responsive emails using internal and external agency assets.
Set up and deploy one-off and recurring automated email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
Conduct detailed team audits of all deliverables to ensure 100% accuracy of emails across multiple desktop and mobile devices.

Requirements

3+ years of professional experience in email development, preferably with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Proficiency with Journey Builder, Cloud Pages, and Automation Studio is a plus.
Strong technical abilities such as coding responsive emails in HTML and CSS, leveraging dynamic data via AMPscript, and querying data via SQL.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work with diverse business partners with competing objectives.
Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
Professional communication skills across roles and functions throughout the organization.

Nice to Have

Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools such as Journey Builder, Cloud Pages, and Automation Studio.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred.
