About the Role

The State Street Product Office is seeking a Senior Product Development Analyst/Manager, Vice President to support product development activities for digital services. The role involves leading product development, driving strategic direction for digital assets, supporting ideas into pilots, and developing client products. The candidate will collaborate across functions and teams to deliver distributed ledger products to market, with a focus on innovation in digital assets within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the core banking applications team to establish requirements and manage Agile development for complex payments and banking solutions.
  • Manage team members involved in defect identification, triage, remediation, and resolution management.
  • Apply knowledge of system behavior, business requirements, industry best practices to design and test solutions.
  • Communicate the impact of changes to team members, testers, and business end users to ensure successful testing and acceptance.
  • Oversee, review, and edit documentation for completeness and clarity prior to use in solution development.
  • Write Agile stories and epics, establish and groom backlogs, and develop these skills within the global team.
  • Collaborate within virtual teams across global operations, product, IT, vendors, and industry participants to design, develop, test, and implement solutions.
  • Support annual planning and funding prioritization activities.
  • Oversee archival of documentation and artifacts for future needs and audits.
  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence on digital assets in capital markets.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to study and build use cases for distributed ledger technology (DLT).
  • Prepare high-level business cases and market opportunity analyses related to digital assets.
  • Participate in ideation sessions and brainstorming to support the product team.
  • Deliver and manage digital products in collaboration with different product teams.
  • Assist in evolving strategic thinking around digital assets by researching and building business cases.
  • Evaluate market evolution and competitive intelligence in relevant areas.
  • Help raise State Street’s profile as an innovator in the digital assets market.
  • Establish an ecosystem for digital assets by researching activity, investment, and interest among clients, providers, and competitors.

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills including experience with payments and/or deposit banking.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, including front office, capital markets, trading, or operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a successful track record of project management from ideation through implementation.
  • Experience delivering products/projects across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Understanding of market trends in crypto and digital assets.
  • Thorough knowledge of asset servicing products across the value chain (fund accounting, custody, transfer agency, collateral management).
  • Demonstrated passion for innovation and emerging digital technologies.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to assess impact of trends on business.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of DLT activity, AI activity, and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for learning about digital assets.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with implementing or operating Temenos's Transact, ACI Worldwide's MTS/RTPS, or Dragonfly Technologies Universal Online Banker.
  • Technical familiarity with global payment networks or messaging standards such as ISO 20022, pacs, camt, Fedwire, CHIPS, ACH, Target2, or SEPA.
  • Experience with developing innovative products from ideation through design and deployment within large, complex organizations.
  • Understanding of governance processes for service or technology changes.
  • Big 4 consulting experience.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of relevant enterprise financial technology solutions.
  • Experience with developing and launching digital products and services such as blockchain, smart contracts, tokenization, wallets, and cryptocurrencies.
  • Experience with large-scale business and technology implementations.
