As an Offering Management Lead/ Product Management Lead for Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS), you will be a visionary and evangelist for Fire hardware and software products, with a primary focus on connected buildings, digitization of alarm transmission, and SAAS solutions. You will be responsible for driving the successful launch of new products and features, from concept to market delivery with a primary focus on leveraging internal and external data to build value added software solutions driving operational efficiency for our partners and impacting life safety. This global leadership role is pivotal in Honeywell Fire's growth trajectory, overseeing the delivery of best-in-class software solutions for building owners, facility managers, system installers, central monitoring stations, and fire departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a compelling and customer-centric product strategy and vision. Align product initiatives with broader business goals and Honeywell's behaviors.
  • Be the voice of the customer and define user personas and customer journey map to identify customer pain points.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive NPI strategy aligned with business objectives and market opportunities. Define the vision, goals, and priorities for NPI initiatives and ensure alignment with broader company strategies.
  • Own the product roadmap and prioritize features based on a deep understanding of customer needs, business objectives, and technical considerations. Communicate technical requirements to engineering teams.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product features. Make data-driven decisions and iterate on features to optimize performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the entire product life cycle, from ideation through development, pricing, delivery, and support, collaborating closely with engineering to drive revenue, orders, and margin goals.
  • Work with multiple engineering, sales channels, and partners supporting the life cycle of bi-directional amplification systems. This role is primarily hardware-focused but involves both software and hardware.
  • Partner with sales, engineering, and customer support teams to identify new product introduction opportunities. Conduct product launches, engage with customers, and potentially conduct user group sessions to enhance sales and capture product changes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and technology vendors, to drive product knowledge, identify new solutions, and ensure integrated roadmaps and joint Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.
  • Communicate program plans effectively to leadership, partnering with Commercial and Sales leaders for customer visits, tradeshows, and events to identify new solution opportunities.
  • Develop and implement the product roadmap, execute product strategy, manage customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and drive sales support partnering.
  • Drive innovative product development initiatives by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and staying abreast of industry trends. Champion experimentation and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs. Use insights to inform product strategy and ensure Honeywell maintains a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with international teams to understand regional nuances and adapt product strategies accordingly. Ensure products meet the diverse needs of customers across different markets.
  • Establish mechanisms for gathering continuous customer feedback through surveys, usability studies, and other means. Use customer insights to drive improvements and iterate on product offerings.
  • Embrace agile methodologies to drive iterative development. Work closely with development teams in sprints, ensuring rapid and efficient product releases.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Anticipate challenges and provide solutions to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Provide mentorship to junior product managers and contribute to the development of leadership skills within the team. Foster a culture of learning and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of expertise in managing a portfolio of software products, projects, and investments.
  • Proven track record in portfolio performance management and lifecycle management.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • MBA or Advanced Degree (Preferred).
  • Experience in the Fire industry, products, technology, and/or fire/codes.
  • Savviness on emerging trends, technology and competitive landscape.
  • Familiarity with SaaS product lifecycle and delivery methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics).
  • Experience with agile methodologies including sprint planning and backlog management.
  • Strong strategic thinking and experience developing and executing product roadmaps.
  • Experience working in a global context and tailoring product strategies accordingly.
  • Strong innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including communication with executives and cross-functional teams.
