Job Description

About the Role

PayJoy is a mission-first financial service provider dedicated to helping under-served customers in emerging markets to achieve financial stability and success. We lend through our patented technology that turns a smartphone into digital collateral, and our cutting-edge machine learning, data science, and anti-fraud AI allow us to offer the lowest cost and qualify the most customers in the industry. As of 2025 we have brought billions of dollars in credit to 15 million customers, doubling in the last two years while remaining strongly profitable and sustainable for the long term. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining and leading strategy, roadmap, end-to-end discovery, design, and implementation to enhance the overall customer experience, expand product capabilities including international expansion, and optimize key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a roadmap to deliver a line of products across all PayJoy markets with a robust set of features such as deposits/withdrawals (cash, bank transfers, card, bill-pay) and rewards/yield.
  • Conduct in-depth market and customer research to identify pain points, unmet needs, and opportunities for innovation in the credit and lending space.
  • Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation and requirements gathering to development, launch, and post-launch iteration, to full-scale implementation for new features and improvements.
  • Work closely with legal, engineering, stakeholders, and existing finance engine leadership to deliver high-quality solutions that balance legal requirements and seamless execution and delivery of product initiatives.
  • Continuously analyze and optimize product and funnel performance using key metrics, A/B testing, and user feedback to enhance conversion, engagement, and the overall customer journey from application to repayment.
  • Analyze and leverage data (ability to write and interpret SQL queries) to identify anomalies, understand existing operations, and validate new releases.
  • Stay informed about emerging line product trends, regulatory requirements, and industry technologies, exploring new features and capabilities to expand market presence and user base.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement KPIs and monitoring systems to track deposit performance, including unit economics and P&L impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of product management experience in financial services for fintech, consumer lending, or a closely related domain.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams including engineering, design, data science, and risk.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify key insights, and translate them into actionable product strategies.
  • Experience with card issuing or processing platforms, particularly in a modern fintech environment.
  • Deep understanding of the credit lifecycle and factors influencing credit products, particularly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL or other data querying languages for self-serving product insights.
