About the Role

The Senior Product Manager for Advanced URL Filtering at Palo Alto Networks will own and execute the strategy for web security market offerings, focusing on building next-generation threat detection and prevention services. The role involves defining product roadmaps, working on web threats detection technology, and supporting growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the overall Advanced URL Filtering Roadmap, including building product vision and strategy with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Identify market needs and gaps to develop new or significantly improved products that meet customer requirements.
  • Lead the building of product roadmaps and drive long-term product plans.
  • Achieve desired outcomes in complex environments within stipulated timelines, demonstrating resilience and persistence.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor operational metrics, identify trends and anomalies, and influence the product roadmap.
  • Act as a key interface between customers, sales, and engineering to communicate product value, differentiation, and best practices.
  • Drive holistic product positioning and launch plans, supporting customer pitches, whitepapers, demos, and sales enablement materials.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within cybersecurity threat environment or with URL Filtering, NGFW, or SWG products.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of using data to drive decisions.
  • Deep understanding of threat landscape and network security, including complex engineering designs and cloud infrastructure needs.
  • Ability to analyze complex challenges, understand customer pain points, and articulate problem statements clearly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership in guiding cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

  • Relevant certifications or advanced degrees in related fields.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and enterprise product development processes.
  • Experience in threat research or malware analysis is a plus.
