The Senior Product Manager for Market Research will be part of an innovative organization developing technologies and educational programs to provide evidence-based, personalized care, and insights to accelerate drug development. This role involves setting and meeting financial goals, developing business plans, assessing market dynamics, and delivering high-quality market research services to Life Science companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify emerging trends or untapped opportunities to expand Ontada's service offerings, drive competitive differentiation, operational efficiency, and new revenue streams.
  • Define and evolve the strategy for the Ontada Market Research offerings to Life Science companies, including product positioning, scalable pricing strategies, and a product line roadmap.
  • Set and achieve financial and performance goals aligned with Ontada's growth strategy, lead revenue forecasts and long-range planning, and collaborate cross-functionally to close revenue gaps.
  • Manage research projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, timelines, and coordination with customers and team members, leveraging project management tools.
  • Ensure recruitment of qualified responders using digital platforms and data-driven strategies to improve targeting, speed, and quality.
  • Execute advisory boards, focus groups, surveys, and interviews, ensuring seamless planning, delivery, and reporting.
  • Deliver strategic market research consulting services to Life Science customers, leveraging analytics platforms to enhance insights.
  • Develop research tools such as discussion guides, questionnaires, and presentations.
  • Facilitate and moderate customer feedback sessions with healthcare professionals, researchers, and decision-makers to elicit insights.
  • Oversee analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, synthesize findings into strategic reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Provide expertise in marketing, promotion, and sales training to drive adoption of Market Research offerings.
  • Lead external and internal promotional strategies to increase awareness and adoption of services.
  • Design and oversee sales training to ensure effective communication of product features and benefits.
  • Establish automated feedback loops to capture and analyze customer satisfaction data for continuous improvement.
  • Drive the establishment of a Customer Insights Center of Excellence with automated data pipelines and analytics frameworks.
  • Collaborate on developing a data-informed insights roadmap and deploy scalable analytics tools to uncover trends in provider behavior.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in quantitative and qualitative market research, analytics, and market research tools/software.
  • Experience in B2B environments preferred, with oncology or life sciences industry experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated product ownership mindset, with ability to develop strategies, manage product portfolios, and meet financial objectives.
  • Hands-on experience with designing and conducting primary and secondary market research.
  • Expertise in moderating pharmaceutical focus groups with industry-specific compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to extract and analyze customer insights and translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in project management.
  • Excellent client management and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Qualtrics, Tableau, Power BI, and Asana.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, flexibility, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in marketing, Business Administration, Market Research, or related field preferred.
