About the Role

The Senior Product Marketing Manager- Multicloud Infrastructure at Cisco Systems, Inc. is responsible for driving go-to-market strategies for next-generation multicloud infrastructure solutions that bridge traditional and modern application environments. This role involves translating complex infrastructure capabilities into compelling value propositions, engaging with enterprise architects, and working closely with sales, campaigns, and customer success teams to ensure product visibility, adoption, and success. Cisco seeks a candidate with deep technical expertise, marketing insights, and storytelling skills in virtualization and containerization platforms, within a global, innovative, and diverse enterprise security and infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Go-to-Market Strategy for new and existing products, including identifying adoption patterns, use cases, target markets, and customer segments operating across virtualized and containerized environments.
  • Engage directly with early adopters and design partners to understand infrastructure pain points, application dependencies, and operational requirements, transforming these insights into product requirements and positioning.
  • Develop core product positioning, messaging, and differentiators that align with overall product strategy and resonate with customers and partners.
  • Work with inbound product management, engineering, and the field to identify and articulate the value propositions of Cisco Infrastructure and Security products.
  • Enable sales and partners by developing content for collateral, product training, and other resources, and engaging directly with sales and customers to understand changing needs.
  • Conduct market research by analyzing market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Influence partners and executives through effective communication, data-driven analysis, and by defining and monitoring metrics to assess GTM success.
  • Build trust with skeptical infrastructure teams and create compelling business cases to justify infrastructure investments.
  • Navigate complex enterprise procurement cycles involving multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure/platform technology with at least 5 years in product marketing or technical product management.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
  • Proven track record working with enterprise customers on infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of application architectures, infrastructure dependencies, and platform integration challenges.

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience with infrastructure transformation and application modernization projects.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as vMotion, Storage vMotion, Kubernetes operators, Helm charts, persistent volumes, and CNI plugins.
  • Understanding of enterprise concerns like compliance, data gravity, licensing optimization, and TCO modeling.
  • Experience with Tanzu, Anthos, AWS Outposts, Azure Arc.
  • Experience presenting at industry conferences like KubeCon, VMworld, or Red Hat Summit.
  • Experience speaking publicly to executive-level audiences.
  • Product marketing experience.
  • MBA.
  • Strong project execution skills, attention to detail, and a risk-mitigation mentality.
  • Self-motivation and a partnership-oriented approach to finding innovative solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills in customer-facing roles.
  • Ability to lead and influence teams and stakeholders through persuasion and perseverance.
