About the Role

The Xbox Gaming Platform and Players Team is responsible for engaging and retaining subscribers, driving monetization within the Xbox ecosystem and platform. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will play a key role in managing and optimizing engagement and retention strategies, identifying opportunities to increase Xbox Game Pass usage across all gaming endpoints. This role offers an opportunity to develop marketing expertise, lead end-to-end business initiatives, and make a significant impact on a flagship service in a fast-changing industry. The position requires a creative, entrepreneurial, and detail-oriented individual passionate about gaming growth and customer engagement, working in a dynamic, collaborative environment aligned with Microsoft's mission to empower every person and organization to achieve more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on engagement, retention, and advocacy of platform players, particularly with Xbox Game Pass memberships, and collaborate closely with demand generation and acquisition marketing teams to ensure a consistent member experience throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Understand usage patterns of Xbox Game Pass, identify factors limiting usage, and develop strategies to counteract these barriers.
  • Drive campaigns that maximize user engagement and develop tailored marketing programs or campaigns for each activity.
  • Partner with teams such as Business Planning, Merchandising, Marketing Communications, Lifestyle, and Product to pilot, redesign, execute, expand engagement campaigns, and improve platform features to boost engagement.
  • Collaborate with Business Planning to define tracking methods and scorecard targets and metrics.
  • Track marketing efficacy to identify results and areas for improvement.
  • Lead messaging, customer and partner advocacy, channel implementation, and field readiness to ensure strategic and executional excellence for Xbox Services.
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of personalization models across different audiences.
