Gartner is seeking a Senior IT Program Manager to lead a complex portfolio of technology projects within the Conference Technology organization, focusing on delivering digital products, data availability, and organizational agility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the oversight and management of global technology-based Project Portfolio in support of IT initiatives.
  • Accountable for improving organizational Agile maturity and adherence to Agile practices, fostering collaboration and high impact results.
  • Facilitate the adoption of Agile methodologies, standards and practices across multiple services and ensure adherence by Technology teams.
  • Provide guidance and support to Scrum Masters in Agile principles and practices.
  • Leverage Agile metrics like lead time, cycle time, velocity, and burn-down charts to monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify systemic operational issues and resolve them as well as identify root causes and process improvements.
  • Enforce strategic portfolio management standards and practices, promoting transparency, execution and risk discipline.
  • Analyze the scope and direction of initiatives across multiple levels of management and organizational boundaries.
  • Create long-term strategies and approaches to control and manage projects supporting complex business requirements.
  • Evaluate project and program performance using key performance indicators.
  • Partner with technical leadership to report project progress to executive level and stakeholders, developing and presenting recommendations and strategies.
  • Support strategic and tactical planning of technology and people resources for large-scale projects.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience working with IT Development teams in project/program management capacity.
  • Deep expertise in Agile & Waterfall methodologies with proven coaching experience to achieve Agile maturity.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills working with matrixed teams, management, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to understand, influence, and manage stakeholder expectations and resolve issues affecting delivery.
  • Strong project leadership skills including Backlog Refinement, Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Agile Team Building, Release Management, and Conflict Resolution.
  • Ability to manage project financials including budget plans, monitoring spend, and risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, people management, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple project deliverables.
  • Critical thinker with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
