About the Role

BAE Systems is seeking a part-time Senior Project Manager for our AEGIS Technical Representative (TECHREP) program. The role involves working as part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to accelerate the development, deployment, and adoption of digital engineering tools across the AEGIS-program community. The senior leader will assist in developing the technical acumen of Aegis Product engineers through System Engineering and Test & Evaluation processes, mentoring new hires, guiding experienced engineers in digital transformation techniques, and providing clear communication to government product leads and Baseline Managers.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the CHENG, Systems Engineering Manager, and Advanced Technology Team (ATT) Manager in all system engineering content and work products
Providing management, direction, administration, quality control, and leadership of the execution of the Program to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of all services and products
Serving as a Scrum Master to facilitate weekly baseline project metrics and meetings to meet deliverables in accordance with the Government-approved delivery schedule
Managing and mitigating risks, and planning to deliver opportunities
Responding to Government questions, concerns, and comments proactively, and alerting the Government to potential contractual and programmatic issues
Conducting recurring PMRs with customers and ensuring all CDRL deliverables are completed on time with high-quality reporting and products
Managing and participating in trade studies, peer reviews, and customer meetings
Supporting proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost and schedule estimating, and presentation activities

Requirements

Experience in system engineering content and work products
Ability to manage, direct, and lead program execution with a focus on quality and timeliness
Experience serving as a Scrum Master or facilitating project metrics and meetings
Strong risk management and opportunity planning skills
Excellent communication skills to respond to government inquiries and conduct meetings
Experience with trade studies, peer reviews, and customer engagement
Ability to support proposal development activities including cost and schedule estimation
