Senior Project Manager, Cloud

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of IT projects including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs, and change control.
• Work directly with the project team, clients, and partners to ensure successful project delivery within scope, on time, and within budget.
• Manage and drive critical, complex, and enterprise-level cloud projects for clients in various industries such as Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, Technology, and Energy.
• Deliver professional service projects in the Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps spaces, requiring understanding of Application Stack, Agile processes, technical project delivery, and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Drive end-to-end accountability for cloud initiatives from initiation through closure, ensuring outcomes meet client business objectives.
• Serve as a liaison between technical teams, client stakeholders, business development, and solutions architecture to ensure smooth execution and strategic alignment.
• Act as a consultative leader, translating technical execution into business outcomes and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate executive-level client meetings, QBRs, and project status reviews with clarity and credibility.
• Support a large Cloud and DevOps team delivering automation, assessments, cloud builds, application migrations, and technical workshops.
• Identify delivery gaps, propose process improvements, and drive standardization to scale project delivery.
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and process improvements to ensure scalable delivery in dynamic environments.
• Manage change control and project scope to prevent scope creep and maintain delivery integrity.
• Mentor and serve as an escalation point for junior PMs or coordinators.
• Share best practices and lessons learned to contribute to the maturity of the PMO.

Requirements

• Demonstrable skills across project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, Waterfall).
• Ability to manage Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Waterfall processes to deliver applications and modernization projects.
• Proficient in Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft Project for tracking goals and timelines.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Trello, Smartsheet, and similar project management tools.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and stay current with emerging technologies.
• 7+ years of experience in IT project management and general IT consulting.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/military experience.

Nice to Have

• PMP or similar professional certification.
• CSM or similar certification.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner or similar certification.
• Azure Fundamentals or similar certification.
• Experience leading projects leveraging AWS and/or Azure technologies.
• Strong analytical, team-building, motivational, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in additional project management tools like Zoho, Teamwork.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, automation, and application migrations.
