About the Role

The Senior Project Manager at Sonova is responsible for leading network structural improvements that enhance profitability, reduce global risk, improve customer service, and support ESG performance. The role involves developing and implementing strategies, facilities, end-to-end processes, and organizational changes to drive high-impact projects across regions, with a focus on the Americas. The position requires collaboration with global stakeholders and leadership to manage complex structural programs from inception to post-launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • End to end project management of high level and strategic projects.
  • Maintain a structural improvement funnel for the region.
  • Define, value, and prioritize regional programs.
  • Influence and lead regional business and operations leadership through periods of high impact structural change.
  • Engage proactively with MB & MB-1 global stakeholders.
  • Manage global work transitions.
  • Own a standard process and toolkit for implementation.
  • Bring ESG leadership and drive initiatives in the Americas region.
  • Oversee a portfolio of regional initiatives.
  • Manage full cycle programs from idea through post-launch of high-impact structural projects.
  • Communicate regularly with all stakeholders, including project teams and senior management.
  • Collaborate with the VP Sustainability, Infrastructure, and PMO to ensure continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Own the full business case for structural improvement opportunities in partnership with regional and functional leaders.
  • Prepare proposals for management review of multi-year network structure improvements, including Capex, Opex, resources, and asset utilization.
  • Evolve and enhance toolsets and knowledge base from project learnings.
  • Lead change and engagement initiatives aligned with transformational projects.
  • Prioritize and coordinate with IT/ERP workstreams within structural programs.
  • Track progress and results of initiatives versus targets.
  • Mentor other Project Managers within the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with VPs, MB, MD level stakeholders across group companies and functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience leading multi-process, multi-region transformational or structural programs.
  • Experience in supply chain and continuous improvement.
  • Multi-project/year experience in business process excellence, infrastructure setup, or transition within a multinational industrial environment or consulting firm.
  • Experience with SAP roll-out projects and medical devices or consumer products is a plus.
  • Transformational and resilient leadership skills.
  • Ability to work from detailed levels to the C-Suite level.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for relationship building.
  • Experience with complex PMO environments.
  • Experience with cross-border team leadership is a plus.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • PMI / LEAN certification is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP ERP, SAP BW, Cognos CPM, and project management tools.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload).
