As a Senior Project Manager in the Public Sector, you will lead complex identity access management (IAM) projects, focusing on initiating, planning, scheduling, forecasting, and overseeing professional services teams, acting as a liaison between customers and stakeholders, and ensuring project success within strict deadlines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

Successfully leads the entire project delivery lifecycle while ensuring customer success.
Manages several projects simultaneously in alignment with Okta's professional services project portfolio.
Demonstrates resilience, tact, influence, and problem-solving skills in complex situations.
Administers formal change control in accordance with scope, time, and cost changes.
Employs scope, time, cost, resource, communication, and risk management strategies.
Partners with cross-functional teams at Okta to ensure project and customer success.
Identifies customer opportunities to position the sale of other desired services.

Requirements

Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
Located within 50 miles of Okta's Washington D.C. office and able to be onsite at customer locations.
Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
At least 4 years of responsible experience in project management.
Hands-on experience leading the delivery of projects for multiple clients or customers.
Experience working with strong matrix management skills and collaborative consulting services.
Expertise in project management, business analysis, software delivery lifecycle, and SaaS.
Demonstrated leadership, self-motivation, flexibility, enthusiasm, and organization.
Experience in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation of project changes.
Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.

Nice to Have

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or relevant accreditation.
Applied understanding of SaaS delivery concepts and familiarity with IAM.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
4+ years of project management experience.
Relevant combination of education and experience in project delivery.
Experience with SaaS and IAM concepts preferred.
Project management certification or accreditation strongly preferred.
