Senior Social Media Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize the company social media channels through management platforms and native platform tools.
• Create social-specific and platform-specific content, including static images, videos, and designs, in collaboration with creative teams and partners.
• Develop and execute a holistic organic social media strategy aligned with Guild Mortgage's brand, mission, and business objectives.
• Monitor and manage community engagement by responding to comments/messages, managing reputation issues, and escalating as needed.
• Analyze and report on social media campaign performance using data and insights to optimize strategies.
• Research social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to stay ahead of industry changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, sales, compliance, and training to ensure message consistency and regulatory compliance.
• Manage the company's internal social media channels and coordinate logistics for social media properties.
• Act as primary contact with outside social media agencies and partners.
• Identify appropriate social media channels, design campaigns, track performance, and implement necessary adjustments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, journalism, or a related field, preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum four years of experience in a similar social media management role.
• Proficient in social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, Later, or similar.
• Deep knowledge of major social platforms, including best practices and current features.
• Proficient in photo, design, and video editing applications such as Canva, Edits, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Strong creative and strategic thinking skills with excellent writing and visual communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of social media analytics, metrics, SEO, and web optimization techniques.
• Experience managing paid social media campaigns and advertising budgets is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced, metrics-driven environments and work under pressure.

Nice to Have

• Experience managing multiple video channels and platforms, including websites and live events.
• Good judgment of voice and tone, especially in sensitive or regulated contexts.
• Proactive, self-starter mindset and experience working with agencies and vendor partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, journalism, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum four years' experience in social media management or similar roles.
