Senior Software Engineer - Big data Operations

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs related to technology, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet client needs while understanding policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Hadoop
• 3+ years of experience with Python or Unix/Shell scripting or Spark
• 3+ years of experience with Autosys
• 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes
• 1+ years of experience with GCP enablement and Migration support

Nice to Have

• Data analytics capabilities and mindset at scale
• Ability to interact effectively at varying levels of the business and technical organizations, including management
• Strong team or technical leadership experience
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Previous experience with Wells Fargo technical systems
• 2+ years of experience with Dremio
• 2+ years of experience in setting up monitoring dashboards through Grafana or Prometheus
