As a software engineer in the Snowtrail team, you will help realize Snowflake's mission by accelerating high-quality software delivery, designing and building systems to increase development velocity, and ensuring quality validation for cost and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Help Snowflake realize its mission and vision of becoming the premier Data Cloud by accelerating the delivery of high quality software to production.
Design and build software systems to help engineering teams increase their development velocity.
Provide quality validation for software systems, optimized for cost and performance.
Ensure the team is executing towards current customer needs while staying ahead of technological trends and future demands.

Requirements

Experience with SQL or other database technologies including internal design and implementation.
Knowledge of query optimization, query execution, compiler design, and implementation.
Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL internals.
Excellent problem solving skills and strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
Ability to work in a team environment, collaborate well, and mentor junior engineers.
Ability to work on-site at our Bellevue, WA or San Mateo, CA offices.

Nice to Have

Experience with Release Validation Pipelines and Test infrastructure in Production.
