About the Role

The Senior Solution Engineer - FSI at Snowflake is responsible for solving complex data challenges for customers in the UK market. The role involves working closely with the sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs, demonstrate Snowflake's technology, and support customers in evaluating and adopting Snowflake solutions. The position requires a passion for data solutions, continuous learning, and the ability to translate technical features into business value for diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Present Snowflake's technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers
Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation
Create and develop technical champions within accounts to drive deals and achieve technical wins
Confidently present Snowflake roadmap features and functionality to customers and prospects
Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive technologies, and how to position Snowflake accordingly
Collaborate with other sales engineers to learn from wins and losses and improve team performance
Work with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake's products and marketing strategies
Represent Snowflake at industry or customer events
Partner with ecosystem and implementation partners to build joint architectures and collaborate on account strategies

Requirements

Extensive solution engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering, etc.)
Proven track record of delivering technical wins and building strong customer relationships
Leadership qualities that uplift team performance
Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
Understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology
Hands-on experience with SQL
Ability to solve customer-specific business problems using Snowflake solutions
Customer-facing communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with Python
Experience with modern data technology (e.g., dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration tools, Git)
Experience with data science and machine learning technology

Qualifications

Relevant industry experience or solution engineering background in SaaS or related fields
