About the Role

Intuit is seeking a highly analytical and communicative Staff Business Data Analyst to join the Finance Analytics & Systems team. This role offers the opportunity to creatively solve complex business challenges and deliver impactful, company-level analytics that support effective decision-making for leadership. The ideal candidate is a technical lead with exceptional data skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with teams across FP&A to understand their analytics needs and deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Collect and analyze data from diverse sources (databases, spreadsheets, external sources).
  • Develop and maintain data models and algorithms.
  • Apply statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Design and implement data collection systems to optimize data quality and efficiency.
  • Provide recommendations to improve data collection and analysis processes.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analysis techniques and tools.
  • Build subject matter expertise and finance acumen.
  • Narrate complex data stories concisely, highlighting insights and their impact on business outcomes for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and deadlines.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a data analytics role.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation, querying, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Databricks and data integration.
  • Familiarity with AWS (Redshift, Athena).
  • Knowledge of Python, Javascript, and Groovy is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with colleagues across the business with varying technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for creating efficient, maintainable, and scalable data solutions.
  • Proactive and inquisitive learner who seeks out and capitalizes on opportunities for business enhancement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud EPM and data visualization tools (Qlik or Tableau) is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Python, Javascript, and Groovy.
