This position involves developing highly innovative UI designs and web components through collaboration, assessing technological advancements, providing technical input in meetings, and supporting front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks. The role is onsite 5 days a week in Woodlawn, MD.

Key Responsibilities

Develop highly innovative UI designs and web components through collaboration and dialogue with other experts.
Assess advancements in technologies to recommend better solutions for the customer and improve software development efficiency.
Attend all customer technical discussions, design, and development meetings, providing technical inputs to enhance code quality and processes.
Perform front-end development using modern JavaScript and ES6+ features such as classes, arrow functions, template literals, and modules.
Provide guidance and support to junior and mid-level developers.
Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans to position Leidos competitively.
Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field and 12 years of experience, or additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
10+ years of experience with Web component development using modern JavaScript, CSS, CSS preprocessors such as SASS and LESS, ES6+, and Stencil.js.
Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript and experience with ES6+ features.
Senior level development experience with React, Angular, or another modern SPA framework.
Strong experience with CSS and CSS preprocessors such as SASS.
Experience with web component development and the web component APIs (Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, etc.).
Experience working with design systems.
Understanding of accessibility and how to create accessible web applications.
Strong front-end debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of web performance optimization techniques and best practices.
Experience using Git and version control.
Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.

Nice to Have

Experience with modern development software, tools, and methodologies.
Experience working on Agile projects and understanding Agile terminology.
Work in DevOps environment.
Experience with Linux environments.
Participation in daily scrum and providing updates.
Familiarity with StencilJS.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
