About the Role

The Senior Web Strategy Manager at Fastly is responsible for developing, driving, and owning the overall strategy and performance of Fastly.com. Reporting to the Director of Web Marketing, this role involves creating a world-class digital experience that enhances user engagement, improves conversion funnels, and supports global business objectives. The position requires a strategic, results-driven leader with expertise in web analytics, UX, CRO, SEO, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize web programs and deliver measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for Fastly.com, driving measurable increases in conversion rates and funnel impact aligned with B2B and Product-Led Growth (PLG) goals.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, and Design to manage a portfolio of web programs, prioritize initiatives, and communicate performance.
  • Serve as the web authority for major digital projects, including new page launches, site redesigns, and the integration of new marketing technologies.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to support web development, SEO, and analytics efforts.
  • Champion a data-driven testing culture to continuously improve user journeys and conversion rates across the website.
  • Lead experimentation initiatives to improve on-page UX, visual experience, content hierarchy, and message architecture.
  • Analyze user behavior, heatmaps, and conversion funnels to identify friction points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and execute a personalization strategy for tailored experiences for key audience segments.
  • Oversee the global SEO program, ensuring technical health and content strategy align with best practices to maximize organic visibility and traffic.
  • Collaborate with content teams on data-driven content strategies based on keyword research, competitive analysis, and search intent.
  • Partner with engineering to prioritize technical SEO fixes related to site architecture, page speed, and indexability.
  • Own website performance reporting, establish dashboards, and communicate key metrics for traffic, engagement, and conversions.
  • Translate web data from sources like GA4, Looker, and GSC into insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Host regular performance reviews with content owners and business partners to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive user research to understand prospect and customer priorities and pain points, develop hypotheses, launch experiments, and share learnings.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in web marketing or web program management with a proven track record of improving site performance in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Deep expertise with web analytics tools (GA4), testing and personalization platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO), and data visualization tools (Looker).
  • Proven success in improving key web metrics such as conversion rates, user engagement, and pipeline contribution through experimentation and personalization.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles, including technical SEO and content strategy.
  • Experience with SEO tools and Google Search Console (GSC).
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing large-scale web projects across cross-functional teams (Engineering, Design, Product Marketing).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex web concepts and performance data.
  • Comfortable working in a fully distributed team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a relevant field.
