Job Description

About the Role

As a Server / Application Project Engineer, you will lead technical projects from start to finish, making sure everything gets done on time and meets our standards. You'll run kickoff meetings, keep everyone in the loop, and work closely with other members of the Managed IT Services and Cloud teams to minimize any client disruption. You'll also document what you do, help improve processes and training materials, and step in as the go-to person when tricky issues come up. Along the way, you'll mentor others and participate in after-hours support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the project lead to implement pre-approved Statements of Work (SOWs) for technical projects involving servers, applications, and other critical IT infrastructure, ensuring timely and on-scope delivery
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, technical steps, and milestones using Aunalytics' project management methodology
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings, stakeholder status reports, and billing updates, maintaining clear communication throughout
  • Coordinate with the Managed Services team to implement changes while minimizing client impact
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and timely task notes
  • Create and/or update technical implementation standards, how-to documents, and training materials as necessary
  • Ensure all deliverables meet Aunalytics' quality and technical standards
  • Ensure seamless communication with Managed Services team, account managers, and customer stakeholders
  • Provide leadership presence and mentorship to other team members
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation
  • Serve as the main escalation contact for the Managed IT Services team, take full ownership of issues, to ensure a timely resolution
  • Maintain accurate documentation and detailed ticket notes
  • Proactively identify and address systemic issues, whether impacting multiple customers, long-standing problems, or stalled incidents

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field - or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in creating and executing Modern Workplace solutions using Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
  • Experience in migrating from conventional infrastructures such as Active Directory, File Services, and Group Policy
  • Skilled in deploying and managing Microsoft Azure IaaS, including compute, backup/availability, networking, and storage
  • Familiarity with Azure Platform Services like Azure Files, Azure SQL, and Identity
  • Experience in deployment and endpoint management with Intune and AutoPilot
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Experience with Multifactor Authentication technologies (Microsoft MFA/Duo/Okta/RADIUS)
  • Experience with scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery systems (Veeam, Acronis, Zerto, etc.)
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Experience with network architecture (network switch, firewall, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework (change, problem, incident management)
  • Working knowledge of project management processes and procedures
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including prior communication with C-level executives
  • Resourceful, self-starter, productive working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
