About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management, stakeholders, and project team.
• Reviews status of projects, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, contractor staff, and other stakeholders.
• Plans, leads, and manages personnel responsible for the organization's portfolio of projects and maintains efficiency of project management aspects such as planning, scheduling, and risk assessment.
• Develops and executes against project objectives by collaborating with the customer on needs and goals, project proposals, project plans, and intermediate execution status.
• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel, and reviewing bids from contractors.
• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing technical studies, and preparing cost estimates.
• Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
• Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
• Controls project plans by reviewing designs, specifications, schedule changes, and recommending actions.
• Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
• Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions.
• Provides technical/operational leadership within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer.
• Defines, generates, and reviews project requirements documentation; performs technical studies to refine project requirements.
• Monitors projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.

Requirements

• Minimum 9 years of experience with a High School Diploma, 7 years with an Associate/AA degree, 5 years with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a Master’s degree.
• TS/SCI clearance is required.
• PMI Project Management Professional certification highly desired.

• PMI Project Management Professional certification highly desired.

• Target salary range of $66,000 - $106,000 based on experience and other factors.
