Key Responsibilities

Support and expand the firm's integrated data approach for clients by analyzing social media, news, or other text-based datasets.
Help glean insights from social media, news, or other text-based datasets, preferably in an advocacy or political context.
Manage multiple projects and deliver campaign-driving insights based on data analysis.
Communicate data and analysis visually, verbally, and in writing tailored to the audience.

Requirements

1-2 years of experience analyzing news and social media conversation with proven results, including internships.
Willingness and excitement to think creatively and entrepreneurially about digital opportunities for campaigns and the agency.
Curious self-starter who enjoys digging into data to help others understand and inform insights.
Familiarity with social listening/management tools (e.g., Brandwatch, NetBase, Talkwalker, Meltwater, Spredfast/Khoros, Sprout Social, Sprinklr).
Experience with advocacy and fundraising CRMs (e.g., BSD, EveryAction), Google Analytics, Tableau, or message testing platforms (e.g., Qualtrics).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for exploring and learning about data.
Background in communications, research, statistical, or business fields with experience wrangling datasets.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to communicate data insights effectively in visual, verbal, and written formats.

Nice to Have

Experience with Boolean search logic.
Experience identifying and capturing media clips.
Forming lists of media contacts and influencers.
Analyzing a brand's owned social media content strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.
