The Marketing team at Lakewood Health System drives brand strategy, digital presence, and promotional efforts across the organization. The team develops creative content, leads campaign execution, and supports outreach initiatives to increase visibility, engage the community, and highlight services, providers, and programs that align with Lakewood's mission and goals. The Social Media & Community Outreach Specialist drives brand growth and engagement by leading content development, digital strategy, and community outreach efforts that reflect and advance Lakewood Health System's mission, goals, and identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, schedule, and manage content across digital and social platforms, including graphics, videos, blog posts, and internal updates.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies aligned with organizational goals and branding.
  • Lead the execution and evaluation of digital and print campaigns supporting recruitment, service-line promotion, community events, and internal communications.
  • Manage Lakewood's presence across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Threads, adjusting strategy based on performance data and trends.
  • Represent Lakewood Health System at community events, meetings, and initiatives to support visibility and engagement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, businesses, and community leaders to promote partnerships and awareness.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as HR, Community Health, and Clinical Services to support cross-functional initiatives and communication needs.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as engagement, reach, and audience growth; prepare reports to guide ongoing strategy.
  • Ensure all digital and print communications comply with HIPAA, marketing ethics, and brand standards.
  • Provide tools, templates, and best practices to support internal storytellers and brand ambassadors.
  • Highlight employee achievements, team initiatives, and organizational milestones through thoughtful and inclusive content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience in content creation, digital communication, and campaign management.
  • Proficient in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms, and social media tools.
  • Video editing experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Builds relationships with community members and partners.
  • Coordinates communication projects with attention to detail and timeline.
  • Applies data and insights to refine strategy across platforms.
  • Supports cross-functional teams with a solutions-oriented approach.

Nice to Have

  • Video editing experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
