About the Role

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for creating compelling visual content that supports the vision and communication goals of Vineyard Church. This role involves designing graphics, logos, and collateral for print, digital, and social media platforms, collaborating with the Communications team and other departments to ensure clear and timely communication. The position requires managing multiple projects in a fast-paced church environment, with additional duties potentially including video content, publications, and website updates to effectively communicate Vineyard's messages and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Create visual content that align with the brand, mission and values of Vineyard Church
Design promotional assets for church events
Finalize all content for weekend services including preparing pre-service slides, monthly event graphics, and sermon series graphics
Adapt and reformat graphics for various channels such as Instagram, Facebook, web, email, and print
Create flyers, bulletins, collateral content for special events, projects or other activities
Collaborate with the Communications Manager to maintain consistency in message, fonts, colors, and style across all platforms and materials
Support pastors and admins to ensure appropriate communication and promotion for their ministries
Contribute ideas and feedback during team meetings and creative brainstorms
Receive and implement feedback with a collaborative, humble spirit
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing timelines while maintaining quality and creativity
Work efficiently under tight deadlines, with flexibility to adjust as needs shift
Photograph and videograph for events and services
Produce email headers and related graphics
Organize and maintain digital archive of past design files and templates
Stay updated with software and design trends
Support communication and creative needs during Sunday services and across various ministry departments

Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the aptitude/attitude to embrace new technologies
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva (professional level)
A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, visual storytelling, and branding
Strong attention to detail with a drive to produce excellent work
Knowledge, skills, and experience in HTML, WebPages, and WordPress
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be creative, detail oriented, organized and a good listener
Comfortable receiving direction and feedback while contributing ideas
Able to work independently but stay synced with the Communications team
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at once without sacrificing quality
Willingness to serve and lead with a humble, teachable attitude

Nice to Have

Experience with video content production
Experience with website updates and digital archiving
