Job Description

About the Role

FC Cincinnati is seeking a Social Media Intern who is highly motivated, detail oriented, and eager to learn marketing and communications within an MLS Club. The internship is a paid position requiring approximately 15 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and office hours at the Mercy Health Training Center. The role involves assisting the Manager of Social Media and Coordinator of Social Media with various tasks related to social media coverage, content creation, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day social media coverage, including matchdays, training, and community events
  • Contribute as a copywriter for social media posts
  • Assist with monitoring and responding to FC Cincinnati's social media communities in a timely manner
  • Stay up to date on latest digital trends and best practices
  • Support social team with ideas for emerging platforms, like TikTok and Instagram
  • Assist with building social media calendars for FCC Foundation and FCC Academy
  • Participate in weekly content strategy meetings

Requirements

  • Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in operating social media channels
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the FCC game schedule and special events
  • A passion for social media and the game of soccer
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail
  • A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to collaborate in a creative environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with emerging social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram
