Social Media Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow Fire-Dex and Gear Wash social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Develop and execute data-driven social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth.
• Create, edit, and publish compelling content that fosters community interaction and drives meaningful engagement.
• Plan and manage paid social media campaigns, including audience targeting, budget allocation, and performance optimization.
• Optimize company pages across platforms to maximize visibility and impact.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on key social media metrics to measure success and inform strategy adjustments.
• Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to continuously refine our approach.
• Engage with followers in a timely and authentic manner, ensuring a best-in-class brand experience.
• Collaborate with copywriters and marketing team members to maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging.
• Support marketing campaigns and product launches by integrating social media strategies.
• Plan and execute social media giveaways, including the distribution of firefighting PPE, to drive lead generation and audience growth.
• Assist with local event planning and promotions as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required.
• Two to four years of professional social media management experience.
• Experience with paid social media campaigns is a must.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong communication skills, including verbal, electronic, and written communication.
• Ability to work in teams as well as possess self-accountability.
• Efficient with prioritizing and multi-tasking, including handling re-directions and interruptions.
• High attention to detail and ability to stay organized with multiple sources of information.
• Ability to travel an average of 5-10% per year for strategy meetings, trainings, or events.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including dealing with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to perform essential job functions safely and successfully in accordance with applicable standards.

Nice to Have

• Experience with HubSpot is a plus.
• Adobe experience is a plus.
