About the Role

The Social Media Specialist will develop dynamic content, expand engagement and build upon Mercy's growing reputation across all relevant social media platforms. They will collaborate with the CRM and Media Relations/Social Media teams to execute tactics that align with Mercy's strategic goals and initiatives in support of consumer acquisition, retention and engagement. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of social media, digital marketing campaigns, and the opportunities and risks associated with being the social voice of a brand. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop dynamic content for social media platforms to increase engagement and reputation.
  • Collaborate with CRM and Media Relations/Social Media teams to execute strategic tactics.
  • Manage several social media profiles, pages, and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines.
  • Create photos, videos, blogs, live feeds, and other content specific to social media in a timely manner.
  • Expand skills and knowledge in evolving online communication tools and tactics.
  • Interpret qualitative and quantitative data to inform decision making.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple social media profiles and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated creativity and immersion in social media.
  • Understanding of digital marketing campaigns and social media integration.
  • Knowledge of engagement/customer service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work as part of a local and virtual team, remaining flexible and calm in challenging situations.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and/or Social Studio is a plus.
  • Strong social media skills and knowledge, including creating content like photos, videos, blogs, and live feeds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, reliable self-starter with creative thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization, web traffic metrics, and inbound interest cultivation.
  • Ability to interpret data and use it in decision making.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High degree of integrity and moral character.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Social Studio.
  • Knowledge of evolving tools and tactics for online communication, including new apps and platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, public relations, or a similar area of study.
