Social Media Specialist (AI/ML Focus) (Contract)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Own the social calendar: Partner with Product Marketing to turn AI/ML product updates, research, and news into crisp, technical, and engaging posts on LinkedIn and X.
• Repurpose long-form content: Adapt blogs, webinars, and whitepapers into threads, carousels, and clips.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with PMM, DevRel, and Design to align voice (technical, precise, on-brand) and amplify reach (e.g., Together AI Discord).
• Build a strategy to drive growth and engagement of Together AI social handles on X and LinkedIn.
• Develop and implement a posting cadence for each social handle, including 1-2 short video clips per week.
• Establish a data-driven feedback loop: Provide weekly insights and monthly deep-dives to measure attribution, community growth, and content performance using tools like Sprout Social.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of experience in B2B social media with proven impact for technical audiences, preferably in AI/ML.
• Strong technical writing skills that balance clarity with depth.
• Hands-on experience with LinkedIn/X, Figma, and social tools such as Sprout Social.
• Comfortable working asynchronously with Pacific Time overlap.

Nice to Have

• Experience with light video editing (e.g., generating clips from long-form video).
• Portfolio sharing 3 posts created with metrics (views/ER/clicks).
• Ability to propose weekly tests (format, hooks, timing) and leverage analytics to iterate.
• Experience with dev communities (Discord/GitHub moderation, crisis communications).
• Familiarity with AI/ML conferences, publications, and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Experience in B2B social media, particularly with technical audiences.
• Proficiency with social media tools and content repurposing.
• Strong technical writing ability.

Benefits & Perks

• $35-45 per hour (dependent on experience)
