About the Role

The Senior Software Architect role involves staff augmentation to perform Data Warehouse ETL related tasks, including analysis, design, mapping, testing, migration, administration, and data modeling. The position requires on-site work in Menands, NY, and focuses on supporting data warehouse development and maintenance through ETL processes and data modeling activities.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and create/update the data model using ER Studio Data Architect 17.1.0.
Analyze the source system data stores.
Design the ETL as per standard.
Create data lineage documents.
Create high level ETL design documents as per standard.
Create low level ETL design documents as per standard.
Create Informatica 10.2.0 ETL mapping as per standard.
Create Informatica 10.2.0 Sessions as per standard.
Create Informatica 10.2.0 Workflow as per standard.
Create Unix/Linux shell scripting as needed.
Create complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions as needed.
Create documentation for all work.
Migrate the ETL mappings from Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) 11.2.0.4.0 to Informatica 10.2.0.
Migrate and change the PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions from existing to new data warehouse.
Migrate and change the data from the existing to new data warehouse as needed.
Migrate and change the Views and Materialized views from the existing to new data warehouse as needed.
Migrate and change the data sharing extraction scripts as needed.
Monitor and tune the performance of Informatica 10.2.0 ETL.
Monitor data anomalies between source system and data warehouse.
Ensure the data quality of the data warehouse.
Maintain and troubleshoot ETL processes.

Requirements

Experience with Data Warehouse ETL analysis, design, and migration.
Proficiency in ER Studio Data Architect 17.1.0.
Knowledge of Informatica 10.2.0 ETL tools and processes.
Experience with PL/SQL development including packages, procedures, and functions.
Ability to create Unix/Linux shell scripts.
Experience with data modeling, data lineage, and documentation.
Strong understanding of ETL performance tuning and data quality monitoring.
Experience migrating ETL processes and data between systems.
Excellent troubleshooting and maintenance skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB).
Knowledge of data sharing extraction scripts.
Experience working in a team environment on data warehousing projects.

Qualifications

Relevant experience in data warehousing and ETL development.
Proficiency with Informatica 10.2.0 and Oracle PL/SQL.
Experience with data modeling tools like ER Studio.
