About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Performs and implements daily operational activities that generally influence mid-level components / processes of technology function, including but not limited to writing code and scripts that provide desired functionality to the software products and programs.
• Participates in improvement and monitoring of deployment operations on pre-release, upgrades and current versions of software.
• Participates in evaluating compatibility of programs with existing communications hardware and software features.
• Participates in development of protocols to support established standards.
• Improves operation and monitoring of standard and advanced features.
• Participates in development of processes and interface requirements.
• Participates in data development and definition of acceptance criteria.
• Creates, develops and maintains software code working in an agile environment.
• Evolves software solutions that meet product functionality and quality needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, schedules and adherence to program goals and principles.
• Analyzes and reviews system requirements using requirement and design documents to understand application functionality.
• Participates in the design, architecture and build phases to produce high quality deliverables.
• Provides recommendations on product and development environment improvements.
• Reviews and maintains sprint tasks and issue tracking for products.
• Maintains and supports existing and develops web-based prototypes, applications and tools.
• Effectively resolves problems, roadblocks and basic issues as they occur.
• Gathers and updates necessary information and communicates to appropriate parties.
• Coordinates cross-functionally to accomplish activities.
• Interacts with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange semi-complex information.
• Identifies and determines likely causes for problematic issues and prepares documentation and communication to facilitate problem resolution.
• May contribute to developing software protocols to support established standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of coding web or mobile applications.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes.
• Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions.
• Experience identifying operational issues and recommending strategies to resolve problems.
• Skilled in scripting languages like Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.
• Working knowledge of Automation software such as Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• Experience with deployments using Containers/Dockers, CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Cloud technologies like Azure, AWS or GCP and Linux.
• Web/backend development skills with languages such as Java, Node, .Net, JavaScript, HTML.
• Knowledge of modern UI frameworks like React and Angular JS.
• Knowledge of server-side relational (Oracle, MySQL) or NoSQL (Mongo) databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP, or Cloud Foundry.
• Knowledge of mobile development with Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).
• Knowledge of .Net or C# and building analytics solutions in cloud platforms.
• Experience with SQL, Java, Python programming, and scripting languages like JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services such as Data Flow, Data Bricks, Azure Synapse, Power BI.
• Experience with reporting tools like Power BI, Business Objects, Cognos, or Tableau.

Nice to Have

• Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions.
• Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
• DevOps experience.
• Skilled in scripting like Bash, Python, Ruby etc.
• Working knowledge of Automation software like Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Ansible etc.

Qualifications
