About the Role

Susquehanna is looking for highly motivated full-time students for our 10-week software engineering summer internship program. As a software engineering intern, you'll be part of a team that builds some of the most powerful trading systems in the finance industry. You will work alongside our experienced software engineers on the development, delivery, support, and enhancements of our trading systems and infrastructure. Throughout the summer, you will have the chance to work on challenging projects that will be pushed into production. You'll also meet with senior technologists to learn about Susquehanna technology and how it impacts our trading strategies. The internship is a fully in-person experience at our Philadelphia-area headquarters, offering a unique culture focused on collaboration, continuous development, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on the development, delivery, support, and enhancements of trading systems and infrastructure.
  • Participate in challenging projects that are pushed into production.
  • Collaborate with experienced software engineers and senior technologists to learn about technology and trading strategies.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a closely related STEM discipline.
  • Intention to graduate with a minimum of a bachelor's degree and begin full-time employment by August 2027.
  • Strong software development skills in any object-oriented language (such as C++, Python, or C#).
  • Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design patterns.
  • A passion for technology and a tinkering spirit.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with trading systems or financial technology is a plus.
  • Previous internship or project experience in software engineering.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in a relevant STEM field.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree expected by August 2027.
