Job Description

About the Role

The Solar Sales Manager, Roofing Products Division at OMG Building Products LLC is responsible for strengthening existing accounts and developing new accounts within roofing and solar installation markets. The role involves promoting solar products, supporting sales efforts, and collaborating with technical and marketing teams to drive business growth in the commercial roofing and solar sectors. Key Responsibilities

  • Promote safety as the number one priority of all OMG employees.
  • Develop relationships with current and prospective accounts within key solar channels to increase the book of business.
  • Implement account call schedules and action plans that support the Solar Business Unit's strategic goals.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers.
  • Engage OMG’s Roofing Technical and Field Sales teams to support and promote solar product sales and performance.
  • Support and promote solar products at staff solar-specific tradeshows, including planning, organizing, and executing activities.
  • Execute marketing and promotional activities.
  • Collect Voice-of-Customer feedback to inform new product development.
  • Acquire and demonstrate a solid understanding of the technical aspects of Roofing Products and Solar products.
  • Communicate effectively with the Business Manager, Solar regarding product demand forecast and fulfillment.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree or 4+ years of Sales and Account Management experience.
  • Ability to understand and explain all products effectively.
  • Ability to act in a professional manner with employees, customers, and partners.
  • Strong presentation development and delivery skills.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and complete assignments in a timely, independent manner.
  • Strong PC skills, including experience with MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for trade shows, sales meetings, including rooftop visits.
  • Ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with high quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Safe driving record.
  • Physical ability to talk, hear, walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, handle objects, reach, climb, or balance, and regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to access roofs up to 60 feet in height using ladders or similar tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience with sales and account management in roofing or solar markets.
  • Technical understanding of roofing and solar products.
