About the Role

The Sponsorship and Creator Strategist, Large Customer Sales, is a proactive and specialized video strategist role within Google's Large Customer Sales teams. The position involves building insights and strategies to close sponsorship packages, creator brand deals, and adapt to the evolving video landscape. The role requires understanding how YouTube sponsorships and creator partnerships support advertiser objectives, with a focus on helping top brands and agencies navigate industry shifts and drive business growth through Google's advertising solutions. The role emphasizes collaboration, strategic thinking, and industry expertise to deliver impactful outcomes for clients and Google.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze viewership data and emerging cultural trends to uncover provocative, actionable insights for brand partners.
  • Translate insights into compelling, story-driven sales narratives and materials that arm the sales team to win major creator and sponsorship deals.
  • Collaborate directly with key clients and agency partners to understand their business issues and develop custom creator strategies that drive measurable return on investment.
  • Serve as a primary partner to the sales team, providing expert consultation on creator-led campaigns and ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Scale cultural and creator expertise across the organization by developing and distributing thought leadership, marketplace reports, and scalable playbooks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in partnerships, sales, brand marketing, or talent management.
  • Experience identifying client's challenges to defining customer and product strategy, enabling long-term opportunities.
  • Experience negotiating and managing partnerships with brands, digital creators or talent.
  • Experience using data and market insights to develop integrated marketing strategies including both branded content and media.
  • Experience contributing to the creative development and production process for branded content campaigns.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Video and Creator industry trends.
  • Understanding of the buying requirements and timelines associated with the US streaming market.
  • Understanding of the YouTube ecosystem and media/marketing landscape.
  • Ability to dissect data and analysis to uncover insights, opportunities and white-space and develop compelling sales pitches to distill the information.
  • Track record of leading strategy development across multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent collaborator with a passion for building meaningful and fruitful relationships.

Qualifications

  • Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Benefits & Perks

  • US base salary range of $138,000-$205,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
