About the Role

Honeywell is seeking a Regional Account Manager for the Building Solutions organization to develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers in Illinois and Wisconsin. The role involves integrating Honeywell technologies with connected building systems using AI, machine learning, and outcome-based solutions to improve energy efficiency, safety, comfort, and productivity. This position offers autonomy, challenge, and opportunities for creative solutions within a company focused on innovation and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic Education Vertical Territory Management Plans and individual Account / Opportunity Plans.
  • Apply a consultative selling framework to improve customer conversion rate.
  • Identify and target new migration and share of wallet opportunities with existing customers and negotiate deals to close new business.
  • Demonstrate a strategic approach to new and existing customers through opportunity planning.
  • Act as a “quarterback” to enhance the Honeywell-to-customer rapport by facilitating deep and wide personal and professional relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Be a customer advocate within Honeywell and a Honeywell advocate with customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a business-to-business sales or account management role in Building Technology Solutions (Building Management, Building Automation, Fire and Life Safety, Building Access and Security).
  • Background in using CRM/Salesforce or equivalent.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Proficiency in applying a consultative selling framework.
  • Ability to identify and close new business opportunities and demonstrate strategic account management.

  • Proficiency in applying a consultative selling framework.
  • Successful track record of exceeding quota goals.
  • Experience selling recurring maintenance, Cyber Security, or predictive analytics SaaS solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence at various organizational levels.
  • Engagement in industry-specific organizations.
  • Self-starter capable of working autonomously in a matrixed decision-making environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in B2B sales or account management in building technology solutions.
