Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
  • Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer customers to appropriate resources within GSK guidelines and values.
  • Maintain knowledge and data related to severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
  • Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
  • Implement strategies specific to each customer within an account, such as Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, and business/office managers.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
  • Manage allocated resources effectively, including financial resources.
  • Respond to customer requests, inquiries, and needs to provide outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including overnight travel up to 30%.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to drive or operate a vehicle, as driving is an essential function.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience for Specialty Account Specialist level.
  • 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience for Senior Specialty Account Specialist level.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Specialty Products that utilize Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy distribution modes.
  • Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers.
  • Sales experience in Biologic, Rare Disease, or Respiratory areas.

Qualifications

  • Experience with biologic, rare disease, or respiratory sales is preferred.
