Job Description

About the Role

This position provides analytics services to the business, developing new insights and understanding business performance based on data and statistical methods. The role involves analyzing business results, external market dynamics, and other data sources to assess trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations for management. It is a hybrid role based in Boston, MA or Madison, WI, with a focus on forecasting, reporting, and data system evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works with business partners in the development and delivery of key performance analysis and reporting.
  • Builds and maintains various models used to project business results and enhances models where there is business value.
  • Ensures analysis and reporting accuracy and integrity, explaining performance drivers and providing insights into performance trends.
  • Creates, executes, and maintains forecasting models, speaking to the underlying assumptions and workings of the models.
  • Communicates findings to stakeholders and leadership with recommendations for actions to address business changes, trends, and issues.
  • Evaluates, designs, tests, and maintains data/analytics systems and makes recommendations for new tools and system enhancements.
  • Develops, tests, and deploys complex automated reporting solutions and decision analytics to replace manual processes.
  • Develops and defines standard analytics and reporting governance and ensures adherence to standards.
  • May participate in additional projects or assignments based on skills, achievements, or experience.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
  • Solid knowledge of forecasting techniques, statistical analysis, data modeling, or data mining.
  • Experience utilizing software tools to query and report data.
  • Experience with standard reporting software packages and report deployment best practices.
  • Ability to communicate and present complex concepts and unbiased, fact-based decision-making.
  • Experience developing complex data sets for widespread use.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data analytics systems and tools.
  • Knowledge of financial performance analysis.
