Key Responsibilities

  • Supports Sales/Marketing in new technologies, projects, and products through deep understanding of product, market, technology, and customer needs.
  • Collaborates closely with Marketing, Sales, KAM, and Business Development to steer activities.
  • Supports identifying future market trends, developments, and product/service expectations, translating them into business growth opportunities.
  • Analyzes and builds different future scenarios to create new business paths, including timing and investment planning.
  • Develops and supports the strategy map and customer roadmaps, steering profitable growth globally, regionally, and locally.
  • Executes and customizes strategies for product and technology positioning, defining training and promotional needs with Marketing.
  • Explores and supports acquisition and divestment projects.
  • Builds relevant customer and market relationships, attends and supports relevant events, exhibitions, and trade fairs.
  • Performs cross-functional coordination of processes and departments, initiates and supports innovation projects.
  • Develops and implements business analysis instruments, providing market and competitive intelligence.
  • Aggregates product, technology, application, and business model needs and communicates these to relevant key interfaces.
  • Ensures that BDMs, Sales, and KAM have the right business, market, and customer transparency to prioritize activities accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Business Administration, or Application Engineering (preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in technical and/or commercial roles.
  • Proven expertise in the flexible packaging industry, specialized in coatings or plastic film manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions.
  • Technical aptitude and a strong product knowledge base.
  • Excellent networking skills for building and maintaining relationships with key industry stakeholders.
  • Proficient oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of the time, including travel to Mexico and Canada.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with market analysis instruments and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience in managing acquisition and divestment projects.
  • Knowledge of adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings industries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Business Administration, or Application Engineering (preferred).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in technical or commercial roles.
