About the Role

As a Sr. Consultant in People Analytics at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will influence key talent decisions with critical thinking skills. The role involves working independently to analyze HR data, interpret complex data and business priorities into human capital insights, and support strategic workforce initiatives within a highly matrixed organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Influence key talent decisions through advanced data analysis and insights.
  • Interpret complex data and business priorities into human capital needs and strategic insights.
  • Develop HR business partners' analytical skills by providing mentorship on tool selection, trend analysis, and proactive data opportunities.
  • Communicate and package concepts and ideas creatively and effectively.
  • Partner closely with business units to understand issues and craft analysis models that yield valuable outcomes.
  • Handle situations resourcefully and suggest improvements to work processes.
  • Adapt to changes and learn new technologies and techniques as required.
  • Deliver outstanding internal work deliverables across various levels, including senior executives.

Requirements

  • Display excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide recommendations.
  • Detailed working knowledge of statistics, financial modeling, and people analytics.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, using judgment and discretion.
  • Practical experience in workforce analytics and workforce planning.
  • Proficiency in visualization and analytics tools such as Excel, PowerBI, SQL, Python.
  • Apply statistical concepts like descriptive statistics, regression, correlation, and significance testing.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data to uncover patterns and trends.
  • Knowledge of key HR metrics for data analysis.
  • Ability to develop compelling visual storytelling using PowerPoint.
  • Expertise in applying AI techniques and tools to generate actionable workforce insights.
  • Strong relationship management skills to engage with executive management and team members.
  • Educational background: Master's degree in business, science, or statistics with 3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, or statistics with 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with change management within a highly matrixed organization.
