About the Role

Ecolab is seeking a Sr. Customer Data Engineer to lead the end-to-end deployment of customer data sharing solutions. This role is integral in driving accelerated value for customers, digital revenue for the company, and long-term customer relationships. It is a customer-facing role that will serve as the face of Ecolab Digital for customers' IT and Data stakeholders. Success in this role is critical in unlocking Ecolab's digital ambition.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end deployment process for highly critical inbound and outbound data interoperability solutions; be the primary point of contact for the customer's technical teams, leading the customer IT relationship during the deployment phase
Work with a cross-functional group of stakeholders, including sales, marketing, engineering, IT, R&D, and product development, to drive maximum customer value and experience, leading to revenue and adoption of data solutions
Be a key input for voice of customer, providing feedback to Product Managers & Business Analysts so features and capabilities can be prioritized in the product backlog
Leverage deep functional expertise and communication mediums to increase speed to invoicing by driving quicker deployment
Partner with appropriate teams to ensure implementation of digital support model that enables delivery of the program goals
Identify operational efficiencies and product needs to be architected and implemented in a timely manner
Maintain customer & internal facing documentation to support sales teams, customers, and deployment teams; create internal technical documentation for new products and services

Requirements

Bachelor's in Engineering, IT, or a related field
5 years experience in IoT, data, architecture, or related space
Experience with SaaS applications or data management requirements in regulated industries is a plus
Ability to work with multiple data formats like JSON, CSV, XLSX, TXT, etc., and develop custom ETL solutions
Experience with APIs, PI, Azure, and other cloud solutions, or similar experience
Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization and to customers
Innovative, curious mindset with the ability to originate and apply new methods and procedures
Strong problem-solving skills capable of tackling tough technical challenges
Knowledge of IT networking technology such as TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, OPC-UA, etc.
Knowledge of database architecture such as Microsoft SQL, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, etc.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel & Visio

Nice to Have

Experience with SaaS applications or data management requirements in regulated industries

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years experience in IoT, data, architecture, or related space
