The role of Sr. Director, Comm Marketing, PTX & MRD involves leading strategic growth initiatives within the Precision Oncology (PO) Commercial team, overseeing product strategy and marketing execution for Therapy Selection and MRD products across multiple tumor and patient types, and driving long-term product development and commercialization strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and incorporate key market and clinical trends, customer needs and segmentation, disease state insights, and competitive offerings for the development of the product's commercialization strategy.
  • Develop product and portfolio positioning, messaging, and brand marketing campaigns for pan-cancer panels.
  • Create clear, effective, and integrated strategies, plans, and tactics for product launches including market access planning, publication planning, content development, market development, customer engagement, customer experience, and lead generation.
  • Ensure comprehensive training of sales and managed care teams on positioning, key data/messages, competitive strategies/positioning, promotional tools, and programs.
  • Develop and manage the commercial marketing budget for product lines in the portfolio and ensure financial targets are maintained.
  • Liaise with external groups such as service vendors, advertising/creative agencies, medical communications, and societies/organizations.
  • Establish a communication plan that leverages publications and timing to align materials and field sales direction.
  • Cultivate and grow thought leaders, and drive participation in advisory boards and speaker development programs.
  • Serve as the marketing lead for review and approval of promotional materials for therapy selection sequencing panels.
  • Supervise staff, organize and prioritize work, conduct performance reviews, and develop team members.
  • Communicate goals clearly to employees, motivate and inspire teams, and maintain morale and engagement.
  • Present material to diverse audiences including company meetings, trade shows, executive and board meetings, and customer settings.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, influence in a matrix organization, and apply strategic thinking and customer orientation.
  • Drive marketing initiatives to achieve commercial targets, and translate complex scientific data into compelling strategies.
  • Maintain professional, engaging, and patient-focused communications with internal and external audiences.
  • Support company values of accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork, and comply with Quality Management System policies.
  • Travel up to 25% for work-related activities, including overnight and weekend travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in the healthcare industry, working in a team setting.
  • 8+ years of marketing experience in diagnostic, biopharma, or medical device fields.
  • 7+ years of experience in a regulated environment such as CLIA, FDA, CE, or IVDR.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical next-generation sequencing (NGS) marketing for oncology.
  • Demonstrated understanding of market development and commercial launches for new products.
  • Ability to successfully market products in a highly competitive market.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
