Key Responsibilities

  • Works closely with our Business Development, Product Development, Marketing, Sales, and Key Account Management to meet the technical needs for markets within our flexible packaging industry.
  • Build Strategy and Priorities in line with Business Development Vision, leveraging existing platform as starting point.
  • Manage and steer innovation development programs in partnership with the business development team and field associates, setting project milestones and driving progress to deliver new products and market opportunities.
  • Connect with external stakeholders such as suppliers, customers, and research institutes to support development initiatives.
  • Regularly influence and contribute to strategy and tactical planning and support proliferation of breakthrough technologies.
  • Collaborate and develop roadmaps with global customer design centers and industry experts.
  • Establish and leverage external networks and partnerships including research, suppliers, OEMs, boards, and industry groups.
  • Develop and manage key innovation and application development programs, understanding latest technologies and their impacts to SBU and customers.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking studies to assess ability to win and identify innovation opportunities.
  • Quantify, document, and report Henkel solutions' value to customers.
  • Test and introduce new products and technologies to the market.

Requirements

  • 10 plus years of flexible packaging industry experience in application engineering or product development.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or scientific methods.
  • Experience in application methods and development.
  • Ability to create clear, accurate, and well-structured technical documentation, manuals, and process guides.
  • Proficiency in compiling, analyzing, and presenting data-driven reports.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for delivering technical presentations.
  • Business acumen and partnership skills.
  • Willingness to travel 30-50%.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with industry trade associations and developing industry white papers.
  • Familiarity with global customer design centers and industry experts.
  • Experience in strategic planning and innovation management.
