About the Role

Microchip Technology is seeking a Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing, to lead the Marketing Communications Content team. The role involves managing digital content strategies, overseeing content standards, and collaborating across teams to ensure effective marketing communication aligned with company values and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global digital content strategy aligned with business goals and marketing campaigns
  • Manage the Marketing Communications Content team, overseeing daily activities and assigning projects and tasks
  • Mentor team members, perform performance reviews, and support their career development
  • Collaborate with the Web team to implement website initiatives and improvements
  • Oversee website navigation structure and creation of new areas as necessary
  • Ensure content complies with editing, writing, trademarking standards, legal requirements, and SEO goals
  • Train and support the Content team to enforce standards and best practices
  • Provide training for new team members and marketers from various business units
  • Act as liaison between marketing teams and Legal regarding trademark questions
  • Support website content management system, including training and guidance for users
  • Review and edit marketing emails, video scripts, and website content to optimize engagement
  • Collaborate with promotions, public relations, web, and multimedia teams to ensure consistent branding and support product launches

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Communications, Marketing Communications, or Public Relations
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience with at least 4-5 years in a managerial role
  • Experience in writing and editing corporate and product content, with technical marketing content as a plus
  • Knowledge of website marketing and management principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat DC
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager or similar GUI-based content management systems (preferred)
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage team members in multiple locations
  • Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills with understanding of AP Style and trademarking rules
  • Effective communication, advising, and influencing skills with stakeholders
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager or similar GUI-based content management systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Communications, Marketing Communications, or Public Relations
  • 12-15 years of relevant experience with managerial experience
