About the Role

The Sr Manager, Digital Marketing (PH) at Disney Entertainment Digital Marketing Center of Excellence Audience Strategy & Community Team is responsible for developing fan-first editorial, social engagement, and creator strategies across flagship brand platforms including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Disney+, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures. This role manages community engagement, UGC and creator sourcing, campaign execution, and digital cultural relevance through deep audience connection and integration into wider digital storytelling workflows. It is a project hire through 9/25/2026, focusing on leading holistic audience engagement strategies to support brand identity, campaign integration, and cultural relevance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the DCOE Audience Strategy & Community program, setting the strategic vision and overseeing execution for community engagement across all brand and studio platforms.
  • Define engagement strategy across the full suite of franchise and studio brands, ensuring a unified yet nuanced approach tailored to each audience and platform.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to integrate audience engagement tactics into broader brand, franchise, and marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee the strategy, planning, and execution of brand priority aligned creator content and UGC programs across all brands and studios.
  • Lead the identification and amplification of organic fan content that supports brand storytelling and franchise priorities for engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure creative consistency, compliance, and quality across all externally sourced content, managing internal routing and approvals.
  • Develop and socialize best practices and operational guidelines for priority platforms.
  • Guide the curation and programming of fan-first content across owned social platforms.
  • Monitor content performance and fan behavior to inform content strategy and optimize engagement.
  • Collaborate with digital analytics partners and senior leadership to deliver regular reporting on community engagement and platform insights.
  • Develop community activations tied to key brand and studio events, premieres, campaigns, and cultural moments.
  • Manage systems and operations for Audience Strategy & Community, including tools like Airtable, Google Drive, and process documents.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of community and engagement professionals.
  • Act as the central point of contact for internal and external partners, driving alignment and executional excellence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, audience engagement, or social media strategy—preferably in entertainment, media, or consumer brands.
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams and developing professionals.
  • Deep knowledge of fan culture, digital platform behaviors, and evolving social trends across multiple generations and demographics.
  • Strong editorial instincts and experience shaping the voice and engagement strategy of global brands.
  • Experience leading cross-functional campaigns and managing creator/UGC content pipelines at scale.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder interactions and collaboration.
  • Ability to synthesize data and insights into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment within a highly matrixed organization.
  • BA or BS in Journalism, Film, Marketing, or relevant field, or 5+ years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience with CRM tools such as AirTable, Smartsheets, and Zendesk.
  • Experience with Sprinklr, Creator Studio, Keynote, Google Slides.
  • Experience within brand entertainment marketing and/or streaming services.
  • Previous experience working with large, matrixed organizations.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, audience engagement, or social media strategy.
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams and developing professionals.
  • BA or BS in Journalism, Film, Marketing, or relevant field, or 5+ years of experience.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range in California: $124,900 to $167,500 per year.
  • Potential bonus and/or long-term incentive units.
