It is a full-time, hybrid position focused on global business development in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the global business development team to develop and define clear processes to identify, prioritize, and acquire new customers and opportunities in target segments.
  • Drive year-over-year financial growth through disciplined conversion of opportunities with Lubrizol's novel excipients focusing on Rx markets and nutraceutical actives focusing on supplement and nutritional markets, from lead generation to commercial conversion.
  • Spearhead the business development team to champion internal and external customer activities including NDA execution, sampling, and establishing quality and regulatory engagements.
  • Ensure customer and market feedback is captured via the CRM system, and proactively engage and report acceleration opportunities for customer adaptations and implementations.
  • Provide market feedback and commercial insight to inform product development, innovation priorities, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Work with the Commercial Manager to establish commercial agreements for novel excipients to maximize market value.
  • Engage with regional experts and thought leaders to develop new opportunities.
  • Represent Lubrizol at global trade events and conferences to maximize lead generation.
  • Constructively engage support functions to provide superior customer service and foster customer intimacy.
  • Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing global business development team.
  • Set clear objectives and performance metrics aligned with business strategy.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive business development or commercial leadership experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or specialty ingredients sectors.
  • Proven success leading international teams and managing multi-million-dollar opportunity pipelines.
  • Strong track record of delivering sustained revenue growth and establishing strategic customer relationships.
  • Deep understanding of pharma/nutra value chains, regulatory considerations, and innovation drivers.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills in value-sales, stakeholder influence, and executive communication.
  • Demonstrated success in securing license and supply agreements.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
