About the Role

Amazon Ads operates at the intersection of eCommerce and advertising, offering a rich array of digital display advertising solutions with the goal of helping our customers find and discover anything they want to buy. We help advertisers reach Amazon customers on Amazon.com, across our other owned and operated sites, on other high-quality sites across the web, and on millions of Kindles, tablets, and mobile devices. Amazon Ads is looking for a Senior Manager of Product Release Management to lead release management globally for advertising products, tools, and services that impact all Amazon advertisers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product discussions including vision, goals, roadmap, narratives, and executive presentations with senior leadership.
  • Work cross-organizationally with leaders to create product material, service team training, and operational readiness.
  • Drive discussions for customer experience, feature design trade-offs, product gap prioritization, and business goals across teams.
  • Coordinate large, multi-functional projects to ensure on-time delivery, anticipate bottlenecks, and manage escalations.
  • Review product workflow design, balancing short-term business needs with long-term implications for Amazon.
  • Rationalize business priorities and technical requirements with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.
  • Lead product releases of large scope and impact, influencing product development strategy for advertising solutions.
  • Provide data and insights to identify opportunities for automation and improved customer experience.
  • Develop roadmaps, project plans, risk logs, release calendars, status updates, and post-mortems independently.
  • Build processes to automate activities, promote standardization, improve testing, and remove bottlenecks.
  • Functionally deliver through the team, stepping in on high-impact releases to ensure success.
  • Lead by example, challenge stakeholders, and develop strategies to ensure successful product launches.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product, business, or risk management experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of people management experience.

Nice to Have

  • Leadership experience with global stakeholders to understand priorities and drive initiatives.
  • Experience identifying scaled opportunities to implement readiness solutions that expedite launches and improve performance.
  • Ability to evaluate program health and success through structured analyses to influence strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in product, business, or risk management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Significant leadership and people management experience.
