AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with AI-based Graphic Processors, designing exceptional products for enterprise Data Centers, AI, HPC, and Embedded systems. The role involves leading programs for AI and HPC platforms from concept to execution, working across engineering and business teams, and collaborating with customers, executives, hardware engineers, software developers, and sales to deliver high-performance computing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defines, plans and drives projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance
  • Scopes technical feasibility of new products by clarifying and analyzing requirements with SW/HW Architects, Technical Leads and Engineers
  • Develops program schedules considering various driver, software stack components, and hardware/firmware dependencies, and creates staffing plans to support the schedule
  • Builds, creates, and maintains a well-developed, managed, and executed program plan
  • Establishes formal program management artifacts including a plan of record, statements of work, project/program timelines, budget, scope, performance, and quality KPIs
  • Plans for resources effectively and manages risks in the development process, identifying prevention methods and addressing issues to reduce engineering costs
  • Works with senior executives and addresses the needs and requirements from AMD's Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Engineering organizations

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of technical program management and experience delivering sophisticated software/hardware programs
  • Ability to scope technical feasibility of new products by analyzing requirements with architects and engineers
  • Experience developing program schedules considering dependencies and creating staffing plans
  • Excellent communication skills to work with multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Experience working in high-pressure environments with competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Engineering background preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, and Excel is an asset
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • Formal Project Management education; PMP certification is ideal but not required

Nice to Have

  • Good understanding of requirements management, documentation management, and defect management
  • Ability to quickly grasp concepts during discussions and turn minutes into action items
  • Strong analytical, organized, detailed-oriented, and results-oriented mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate progress effectively

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Formal Project Management education, PMP certified ideal but not required
