About the Role

The Sr Market Intelligence & Engagement Specialist at Albemarle Corporation is responsible for supporting strategic insights, managing industry events, and leading customer engagement initiatives aligned with the company's commercial and marketing goals. This role involves collaborating across teams to enhance market understanding, customer relationships, and brand visibility, with a focus on transforming resources into critical ingredients for mobility, energy, connectivity, and health in a values-led organization committed to building a resilient world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and distribute weekly/bi-weekly headlines summarizing critical developments in the company's markets, customers, and competitors.
  • Monitor news sources, industry reports, and market trends to keep stakeholders informed of key updates.
  • Provide concise, actionable insights derived from weekly updates to support decision-making processes.
  • Maintain an organized repository of market intelligence resources for internal use.
  • Gather market intelligence from events, trade shows, and conferences by building processes and forms for attendees to complete that succinctly captures intelligence from sessions, networking, and analyzing industry discussions.
  • Work with the data science team to develop processes leveraging AI tools and technologies to build comprehensive market intelligence reports.
  • Support the process of designing and executing Voice of Customer (VoC) surveys to gather actionable feedback from customers.
  • Analyze survey results and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve products, services, and customer experiences.
  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of trade shows, conferences, and events, including managing budgets, logistics, vendor relationships, and on-site operations.
  • Summarize and share ROI from tradeshow and events.
  • Partner with the marketing communications team to ensure brand consistency and impactful customer experiences at events.
  • Secure speaking opportunities and coordinate customer meetings at events for executive leadership.
  • Develop and execute digital marketing plans to promote events, webinars, and campaigns, including online advertising, email marketing, and social media.
  • Manage post-nurturing campaigns for opportunity pipeline development, customer engagement, and retention.
  • Track and report ROI from digital marketing activities using analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with the marketing communications team for promotional materials and webinar logistics.
  • Partner with internal teams and external partners to align market intelligence efforts with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5-7 years of experience in market intelligence, digital marketing, event management, or a related field, preferably within a commercial B2B environment, ideally in the chemical industry or a similar sector.
  • Proven experience in executing market intelligence initiatives, conducting competitive analysis, and synthesizing data into actionable insights.
  • Hands-on experience in digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, online advertising, email marketing, social media strategies, and analytics tools.
  • Extensive experience in planning, coordinating, and executing trade shows, conferences, and corporate events.
  • Experience managing Voice of Customer (VoC) programs, including survey design, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, MCAE, SFDC, social media platforms, and email campaign management tools.
  • Ability to monitor industry trends, analyze market data, and provide concise insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for creating reports and marketing materials.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot), data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and event management platforms (Cvent, Eventbrite).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to act as the main contact for external partners and vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and a strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI tools and technologies for market intelligence.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
  • Master's degree in a related field.
