About the Role

This position is for the Sr. Manager, Global Product Marketing for support surfaces (acute care mattresses) at Baxter. The role involves developing and managing the support surfaces portfolio, driving profitable growth, collaborating with R&D for innovations, and leveraging data connectivity opportunities. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development, management, and growth of the support surfaces portfolio with an annual revenue target of approximately $175M.
  • Independently lead and coordinate cross-functional teams in a matrix organization to drive global portfolio growth.
  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for support surfaces products.
  • Leverage data analytics to size markets and define growth rates.
  • Gather intelligence on macro environmental trends including manufacturing, technology, medical innovation, regulatory, market access, and sustainability.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape to inform strategy and portfolio development.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to identify customer opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
  • Drive product launch plans in partnership with downstream marketing, including value proposition, segmentation, targeting, positioning, sales enablement, and messaging.
  • Build connectivity strategies into new-to-market solutions and develop comprehensive roadmaps for growth opportunities and geographical expansion.
  • Collaborate with device connectivity teams to understand and incorporate connectivity opportunities.
  • Manage lifecycle of products including launches, phase-outs, improvements, and line extensions.
  • Review geographical expansion cases and initial regulatory assessments.
  • Assist strategy and analytics teams in analyzing portfolio health and streamlining production.
  • Travel globally up to 30% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • 10 years of product management and/or marketing experience in a life sciences corporation, preferably in medical devices, diagnostics, or capital equipment.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in an upstream or global capacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to internal and external partners at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of achieving results.
  • Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare and business dynamics.
  • Ability to manage challenging priorities simultaneously and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with connectivity solutions and data visualization in healthcare.
  • Experience in developing and executing global market strategies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory processes and geographical expansion strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • 10 years of relevant product management and/or marketing experience in the life sciences sector.
  • Experience in an upstream or global role for at least 2-3 years.
